Announcements:

• Monday, April 28^th: Shaker Square Kiwanis will be hosting a Division 15 Jamboree at 6:30 at the Lyndhurst City Hall on Mayfield Road! Attire is casual! Please let Chester know if you would like to attend!

• Project H.O.P.E. went really well!! Thanks to everybody who helped out to make this day a great success! J

• Looking Ahead: District Service Project!!!! October 4^th at John Carroll!!! If you have any ideas for a service project for DSP, please contact Chester (cbanaszak09@jcu.edu)

finals week!!!

Hey Everybody!

This is our last meeting of the semester! We’ll be discussing ways to improve the club for next year so be sure to come with lots of ideas so the 2008-2009 year can be a success! As usual, we will be meeting in AD47 at 8:00pm. I’m thinking social afterwards…possibly Ben and Jerry’s so come with a few bucks if you are interested. Don’t forget, we are still collecting money for the Six Cents Initiative. I hope to see you all there!

Service Projects (contact: smudery09@jcu.edu):

• Project H.O.P.E. is this FRIDAY!!!! It will go from 10:30-1:00. We need more people to sign up, so if you are interested, please contact Chester (cbanaszak09@jcu.edu) If you would like to help set up before hand, meet at the IM gym at 10:00!! Hope you see you all there!

• Saturday, April 19^th: Earth Day Clean Up! Times include 10:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00. Dress warm and comfy!!!

• Wednesday, April 23^rd: Crafts with Kids from 2:30-3:15

Other Announcements:

• We are still collecting change for six cents initiative. If you would like to help out, please bring change to the next meeting!

• Chester, Lindsey, and Courtney went to SpOT this past weekend and we were able to come up with some goals for our 2008-2009 school year. We also made a list of accomplishments that Circle K has made throughout the year!

Goals:

New Members!!!

• A club fair (fall and spring)

• Make our poster more appealing at the fairs (ex. pictures of our big service projects)

• Exchange contact information so that the students know when and where and what time our club meetings are!

Our Ideal Circle K:

We would like:

• More members (stay involved in weekly service projects)

• More communication between officers and members

• More money through fundraising

• Our core members participate in the district conventions including DSP, MAC, DCON, and SpOT!!!

• Publicity on campus (make it known to people who we are as a club)

Accomplishments:

• Through the Eyes of a Child

• Variety of projects (working with children and the elder)

• Inter-clubbing with other Circle K clubs is on an increase

• Setting up agendas by the president (very organized)

• Publicity of events!

• Sending minutes out every week

• Kiwanis relationship

Next Meeting: Our LAST meeting of the semester!!! Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 8:00 in AD 47!!

A friendly reminder to you that tonight’s Circle K meeting will be held at our usual time and place: 8:00 PM in AD 47.
The Shaker Square Kiwanis club has kindly donated some delicious brownies, cookies, and cupcakes… so make sure you swing by for some of those and stay for a discussion on the goals we want to set for the 2008-09 school year. This is your chance to influence how you want Circle K on campus to be, so make sure you get your opinions heard tonight!

Other Announcements:

• Project H.O.P.E. is still on!! YAY!!! It is a day when John Carroll brings 50-60 mentally disabled kids to campus in which they will enjoy playing and participating in activities all day!
• Just a reminder: Kate and Courtney are sitting atrium tables on Friday, April 11th from 11:00-12:00!!
• Special thanks to Eric for bringing in brownies on Tuesday!! They were delicious!!!
